Syrian air defenses intercepted "hostile targets" over Hama in the northwestern countryside, injuring two civilians, state media reported on Thursday. The raid also led to material damage and fires breaking out in several areas, they added.

According to a Syrian human rights organization, Israel struck targets belonging to a pro-Iranian militia.

Syrian authorities have yet to issue an official response to the incident.
